 WHY WE LIVE HERE

Lilac Ridge Farm is located in Southern Wisconsin where the rolling hills proudly display red barns,  green pastures, healthy livestock, bountiful gardens, lively woodlands, breathtaking sunsets and lots of beauty ... (well ok.....I'll admit these rolling hills also contain massive snowdrifts in winter).

The Farm, the plan

Lilac Ridge Farm is a 50 acre farm  purchased in 2005.  The first few years were spent establishing pastures, erecting buildings, and planning.  We decided to raise fiber sheep and goats using earth friendly, sustainable practices. The first 6 CVM romeldales were welcomed here in 2008.  In 2009 a few pygora goats from Oregon rolled in.  Most recently, in 2010, three elegant purebred rambouillet ewes joined the flock.  In addition to breeding for sound, healthy animals, LRF is commited to breeding for superior fine fleeces with a focus on the handspinner/crafter. To accompish this goal, LRF coats the "coatable" animals and utilizes best practices for skirting and processing fleece.  For our customers we will provide  products that are of best quality we can produce that is honestly described with a  money back guarantee,
